I photograph small weddings and elopements as they unfold, in natural light, making room for the real moments between you. The landscape is part of the story, never a stage for it.

Watching the day unfold
I follow the day rather than directing it, and let the light and the landscape guide where I stand.
I work documentary-style, observing from a respectful distance so that you can be yourselves. Most of the pictures come from moments you will not remember posing for.
Scotland changes within an hour, from still lochs to sudden squalls, and I plan around that. Natural light is my only tool, so the weather becomes part of the record.
